His Holiness the Dalai Lama consecrated Buddhist Monastery at Rampur

Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama yesterday consecrated the Thungyur Lakhang Buddhist Monastery at Rampur near Shimla to mark 2550th anniversary of Maha Parinirvan (enlightenment) of Lord Buddha.

The ceremony was also attended by the state chief minister Virbhadra Singh.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama left Dharamshala on 28th morning for Shimla from where he will proceed to Japan.

From 4-9 November, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will give teachings, followed by a public talk on Kind Heart: Key to Health and Happiness on 10 November.

This will be the tenth visit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Japan which he last visited in 2005.
