Kalon Kesang Y. Takla sworn in

Dharamshala: The officials of the Central Tibetan Administration offered felicitations to Kalon Kesang Yangkyi Takla this morning at the Kashag Hall.

Kalon Kesang Y. Takla, due to the official engagements, could not take the oath of office when the other three new Kalon were administered oath by His Holiness the Dalai Lama on 5 October 2006.

Yesterday morning His Holiness the Dalai Lama administered the oath of office to her.

Earlier in a circular issued by the Kashag on 5 October 2006, the Kashag announced a temporary distribution of portfolios for the three of four new Kalons. It also mentioned that the portfolios would be further reshuffled.
