The Agriculture and Cooperative Development section supports the overall development of the agriculture and Cooperative at different Tibetan settlements in India, Nepal and Bhutan. It introduces and educates the organic and natural farming concept with an emphasis on:
- Soil and water conservation
- Developing the natural fertility of the land (Organic and Natural farming)
- Animal Husbandry
- Work with cooperative societies to purchase tractors and improved varieties of seed and hybrid dairy animals
- Assist in planting orchards where viable
- Assist in establishing grain processing centres to increase the value of our agriculture crops
- Offers emergency funds and low interest long term loans in case of uncertainties.
